Global Teaching Labs Wales - MIT
A bilingual legacy film for Equal Education Partners, showing the impact of MIT's Global Teaching Labs programme on schools across Wales.
Role - Producer, director, camera and edit
DOP and camera - Sam Higgins
Client - Equal Education Partners
Filmed - January 2025, Pembrokeshire and Cardiff Bay
A paid commission for Equal Education Partners, who deliver MIT's Global Teaching Labs programme in Wales. They needed a legacy film to promote the project and support future funding bids.
I secured the work, planned the shoot and directed interviews with pupils and teachers at schools in Pembrokeshire, then at the programme's celebration event in Cardiff Bay. I brought in Sam Higgins as DOP across both locations, shot cutaways and stills myself, and edited the final film. It features both Welsh and English, with English subtitles as the client requested.
